Use this page to perform simple modifications to a selected subject area. For example, you can use this page to reorganize a subject area's tables and columns, change a presentation column's display name, and assign permissions to a presentation column. After you modify the subject area, you use can publish your changes to the Oracle BI Server without stopping and starting the BI Server.

Available Subject Areas
Use this list to select the subject area to modify.
Unmapped Columns List
By default, this list contains the business model columns that are not mapped to the physical layer schemas. Use the View button to change the columns in this list. You can choose to view all columns, unmapped columns, or mapped columns.

Subject Area List
This list contains the tables and columns in the subject area or presentation layer. Select a table or column and view or modify its properties in the Properties Area.
Note the following options:
Click the Add button to add a new table to the subject area. ???Need more information here? What happens after you click OK in the Add New Table dialog? What does the user do next? How do they add columns, etc.???
Click the Up and Down buttons to reorder the selected table or column within the subject area.
Click the Delete button to remove the selected table or column from the subject area. ???When you do this, what happens other than the table or column is deleted from the presentation layer? Is this delete or hide????
Properties Area
This area displays the selected presentation table or column's properties. Use the fields in the General area to change the table or column's display name and description. Use the Permissions area to specify the users and application roles ability to access the table or column, and if they can write to the column.
You can clear the Show all users/application roles field to show only the users and application roles permissions set to values other than default. ???Do we need more information here???
Refresh
Use this button to refresh the unmapped column list, the subject area list, and selected presentation column's properties. ???Is this correct? When and why would they do this??
Publish
Use this button to publish your subject area changes to the Oracle BI Server. Clicking this button publishes the subject area without stopped and restarting the BI Server.
